Nora Doherty recognized as 2022 Watanabe Life Sciences Champion for strategic and meaningful impact on Indiana’s life sciences industry

In addition to receiving the August M. Watanabe award, Doherty also received the Sagamore of the Wabash, the state's highest honor, from Indiana Gov. Eric J. Holcomb. New report highlights impact and growth of healthcare and life sciences sector in Northeast Indiana region

Fort Wayne, Ind. (July 28, 2022) – Indiana’s northeast region, an 11-county area* including Fort Wayne and Warsaw, saw healthcare and life sciences jobs grow by more than 11% between 2015 and 2020, outpacing overall private sector growth of 2 percent. The sector contributes a $16 billion annual economic impact and employs more than 48,000 people, according to a new report.
