22 students to share $25,000 prize purse in TechPoint’s 2021 S.O.S. Challenge

INDIANAPOLIS — August 2, 2021 — Twenty-two students from a dozen universities and colleges will share in the $25,000 Summer Opportunities for Skills Challenge (S.O.S. Challenge) prize purse and an opportunity to participate in Elevate Ventures’ Fall 2021 Regional Nexus Pitch Competition. The event was the culmination of six weeks of work that involved 170 students and recent coding graduates from Eleven Fifty Academy working on 39 teams with 81 coaches from 42 Indianapolis area tech companies. Fred Cartwright, long-time auto industry executive and hybrid technology pioneer, named Conexus Indiana President and CEO

INDIANAPOLIS (July 12, 2021) – Fred Cartwright, former General Motors executive and past executive director of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), has been named president and CEO of Conexus Indiana, a statewide organization dedicated to strengthening Indiana's advanced manufacturing and logistics industries. Cartwright succeeds retiring president and CEO J. Mark Howell, who has led Conexus since late 2017. Winning team PoliMOVE and runner-up TUM Autonomous Motorsport are joined by Energy Systems Network President and CEO Paul Mitchell. INDIANAPOLIS (June 30, 2021) -- The Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), a $1.5 million university prize competition to advance autonomous technologies for increased safety and performance, completed a major milestone today when 17 of its 30 university teams competed in the final Ansys IAC Simulation Race. WTHR-Autonomous Shuttle Service Launches in Downtown Indy

CICP's advanced energy and transportation initiative Energy Systems Network (ESN) has partnered with the Toyota Mobility Foundation (TMF) and May Mobility to launch a new free autonomous vehicle shuttle service that serves the west side of downtown Indianapolis and the IUPUI campus. The service, which runs in Indianapolis from June-November 2021 before moving to Fishers, Ind. from November 2021-June 2022 is a pilot program that is part of the Together in Motion Indiana initiative announced earlier this year by TMF and ESN which aims to foster innovation through industry partnerships and propel research and development in advanced mobility technologies in Indiana. AgriNovus Indiana launches Innovation Challenge to inspire tech to make carbon markets more accessible to farmers
