INDIANAPOLIS – With a dedicated focus on our state’s economic future, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) is showcasing See Yourself IN – a new public education program to help young people explore career and job opportunities within Indiana’s advanced industries.
“Indiana is a leader in advanced industries that drive our economy’s prosperity,” said Melina Kennedy, CEO of Central Indiana Corporate Partnership. “However, many of our Gen Z population are not aware of the many career paths and opportunities in these industries so they can’t see themselves in the future and how they fit. We want to help inspire more young people to dream big and help them explore innovative companies, jobs and programs so they can see themselves in great jobs and a great life right here in Indiana.”
Through See Yourself IN, Gen Z Hoosiers and those here for school will:
- Learn about the kinds of advanced industries that are driving the Indiana economy, growing rapidly and looking for the next generation of leaders.
- Explore jobs, training, profiles, interviews, and videos to discover what their career path in the advanced industries might look like.
- Hear from industry professionals and their peers as they share their experiences and advice.
- Connect to the programs, career pathways, and placement opportunities the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership initiatives and partners already have in place including AgriNovus Indiana’s Field Atlas, the Modern Apprenticeship Program (MAP), Conexus Indiana’s Catapult program and TechPoint’s Xtern program.
Using a multi-channel campaign, CICPIndiana.com/SYI, houses engaging resources and media including videos showing young people working in interesting and innovative jobs across Indiana’s advanced industries. The program’s podcast, which is available online and through Apple and other podcast platforms, is equally engaging with guests from organizations such as IU Health, Roche Diagnostics, IndyHub and Conexus Indiana.
In partnership with the Indiana Department of Education, CICP is planning its next See Yourself IN Summit on November 21, 2024, for high school students. The first summit, which was held last November, attracted more than 200 students from around the state and offered a full day of engaging panels and networking opportunities.
