Indiana State University partners with Ascend Indiana to connect students with career and internship opportunities in Indiana

Terre Haute, Ind. (March 21, 2023) – Indiana State University and Ascend Indiana have partnered to connect students more intentionally to career opportunities in Indiana. Through the Ascend Network, an online job matching platform, Sycamore students will be able to connect with Indiana jobs and internships that match their skill sets and interests and will receive one-on-one career guidance and job search support through Ascend Network staff. Since its inception in 2017, Ascend has connected more than 3,000 Hoosiers with jobs and training opportunities in all sectors across the state. New study finds Indiana’s agbioscience economy posted record growth since 2018, now topping $58 billion

INDIANAPOLIS (March 15, 2023) — AgriNovus Indiana, an initiative to grow the state’s agbioscience economy, released new research today that found Indiana’s agbioscience sector directly contributes more than $58 billion to Indiana’s economy – an increase of more than $6 billion since 2018. Indiana leads the U.S. in pharmaceutical exports

INDIANAPOLIS (March 2, 2023) -- Indiana leads the United States in pharmaceutical exports, according to new data from the Indiana Business Research Center at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Life sciences exports have always been a strong area for the state. Indiana has been one of the top three states in exports for all life sciences products – pharmaceuticals, medical device, and agbiosciences -- for more than a decade. In 2022, $13 billion of these products were shipped all over the world. In addition, 2022 saw a record amount of venture capital raised by Indiana start-ups for the third straight year – increasing to $620 million, an increase of nearly $200 million from 2021.
