INDIANAPOLIS (May 4, 2023) – The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), which brings together the chief executives of the region’s prominent corporations, foundations and universities, has named a new chair of the board of directors and new executive committee members for 2023.

Sue Ellspermann, president of Ivy Tech Community College, was elected chair of the board of directors at the April board meeting. Bryan Mills, president and CEO of Community Health Network, will continue to serve as vice chair and treasurer. In addition, David Ricks, chairman and CEO, Eli Lilly and Company, and Jennifer Rumsey, president and CEO, Cummins, have joined the executive committee.

The CICP Executive Committee for 2023 (effective July 25, 2023):

  • At-Large – Jeff Smulyan, chairman and CEO, Emmis Communications

Ellspermann’s chair appointment also marks the first all-female leadership team at CICP along with CEO Melina Kennedy and President and CFO Latoya Botteron.

CICP is the parent organization of five talent and industry sector initiatives: AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana and TechPoint. Each initiative is focused on its own specific area respectively, agbiosciences, talent and workforce development, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics and technology.
