Gootee says despite major layoffs by tech companies such as Microsoft and Amazon, the outlook for the Indiana tech sector is much better. Day says the national situation creates an opportunity for Indiana. The Mira Awards are the state’s largest, best known and most prestigious technology awards, and the annual gala celebrates the “Best of Tech” in Indiana. TechPoint received a record-breaking 236 nominations and entries for the awards this year — 38 percent more than the previous highwater mark set in 2018.
