CICP unveils AI survey results to explore organization usage and overall interest of AI adoption statewide
INDIANAPOLIS — Exploring how key industry sectors in Indiana are using or plan to use artificial intelligence (AI), the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) today unveiled results from its AI in Indiana survey, which was administered statewide last fall in partnership with two of its branded initiatives – Conexus Indiana and TechPoint. The AI in Indiana survey generated nearly 200 responses with 55 percent indicating the adoption of at least one AI capability—a share in-line with McKinsey & Company’s Global Survey on AI, a widely recognized survey that inspired CICP’s survey questions and has been used by economists and community leaders to track the progress of tech adoption. Four Indiana student-run businesses awarded at Conexus Indiana Case Competition
INDIANAPOLIS – Students from four Indiana high schools were named winners in the 2024 Conexus Indiana Student Industries Case Competition. Teams of student leaders from Eastbrook High School, Mitchell High School, Perry Central High School and White River Valley High School will receive cash prizes to support their School-based Enterprise (SBE), an in-school entrepreneurial advanced manufacturing and logistics business that is managed and operated by students. “The Case Competition, which is open to schools operating SBEs throughout the state, gives high schoolers a platform to showcase their practical decision-making and problem-solving skills,” said Kyle Marshall, senior director of talent programs at Conexus Indiana. “The competition also gives them an opportunity to present to and interact with a panel of industry leaders in Indiana – an opportunity they otherwise might not have while in high school.” Competing schools were divided into [...]

INDIANAPOLIS - Conexus Indiana has opened nominations for its next cohort of Rising 30 honorees. The program, now entering its fourth year, honors 30 advanced manufacturing and logistics (AML) professionals under the age of 30 who are distinguishing themselves as industry leaders of the future. New art exhibit shines light on Indiana’s advanced manufacturing industry through the lens of Indiana photographer
INDIANAPOLIS – The Hoosiers and the technologies behind Indiana’s advanced manufacturing industry take center stage in a new art exhibit, featuring images captured by Indianapolis photographer Michael Durr. “The Art of Modern Manufacturing: Views through a different lens” opens on Friday, October 6 and runs through Friday, October 27. The exhibit, which is free to the public, is accompanied by an audio tour with commentary from Durr, writer Sandra Cline and Conexus Indiana Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation Ryan Henderson. Durr, in partnership with Conexus Indiana, traveled statewide to capture nearly 80,000 images to document how Indiana manufacturers and Hoosier workers are using smart manufacturing technologies – such as cobots, additive manufacturing and advanced robotics – to increase productivity and competitiveness. INDIANAPOLIS (May 22, 2023) Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb has been named the 2023 Andre B. Lacy Vanguard Award recipient, joining an exclusive group of Hoosiers recognized for extraordinary leadership and impact in the advanced manufacturing and logistics industries. Under his leadership, the state has seen steady growth in advanced manufacturing and logistics; in 2022 alone, the state worked with over 130 advanced manufacturing and logistics companies to commit to add 15,800 new jobs and invest $11.9 billion in Indiana. Carey Services, Conexus Indiana partner on manufacturing training for people with disabilities
MARION, Ind. (May 3, 2023) – Marion-based Carey Services has partnered with Conexus Indiana to provide job-training services to people with disabilities. Supported by a gift from the Don Wood Foundation, the partnership will bring to Marion and the surrounding communities the Catapult Indiana program, which prepares Hoosiers for careers in advanced manufacturing. A provider of programs for people with disabilities for nearly 70 years, Carey Services plans to begin offering Conexus Indiana’s Catapult Indiana programming this summer.
