16 Tech Community Corporation today announced $500,000 in grant awards to 15 projects and resident-led initiatives that support the neighborhoods closest to the 16 Tech Innovation District. The grants are the first awards of the 16 Tech Community Investment Fund, a community-focused fund launched in 2019 to ensure access, opportunity and revitalization of the neighborhoods in and around the 16 Tech Innovation District. “Today’s announcement of grant awards is the culmination of more than a year-long process to develop fund priorities and guidelines in partnership with the 16 Tech Investment Fund Advisory Committee, neighborhood associations and the City of Indianapolis. Governor, Mayor Hogsett announce #INthistogether campaign to flatten the curve

INDIANAPOLIS, April 1, 2020 – Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett – and a coalition of statewide business and community partners including Eli Lilly and Company – announced a social distancing campaign to help flatten the curve for COVID-19 in Indiana. The #INthistogether campaign will help Hoosiers understand the importance of social distancing, provide access to helpful tips and information and galvanize communitywide commitment to flattening the curve. INDIANAPOLIS (March 16, 2020) - Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19, but in an abundance of caution we have decided to take additional measures to ensure our risk remains low and to respond to community calls for social distancing that can help block additional spread of the virus. 16 Tech partners with 1776 on Innovation Hub

National incubation network and innovation management provider 1776 has formed a partnership with 16 Tech Community Corporation to help establish a 100,000-plus square foot innovation hub in the 16 Tech Innovation District located within the Indiana Avenue Cultural District near downtown Indianapolis. The 16 Tech Innovation Hub will open in early 2021. The 16 Tech Innovation Hub, currently under construction, is an adaptive reuse of the former headquarters of the Indianapolis Water Company.
