INDIANAPOLIS (April 30, 2020) – Today, Safe Return to Work for Indiana’s Manufacturing, Logistics, and Warehousing Sectors: Keeping our Hoosier workers safe so they can restart the state was released to share best practices of Indiana companies and others around the world in this unprecedented time. CICP releases 2019 annual report
With the release of its 2019 annual report, CICP looks back at an ambitious year for the organization and its six key talent and industry sector initiatives, AgriNovus Indiana, Ascend Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana, Energy Systems Network and TechPoint. The initiatives represent agbiosciences, talent and workforce development, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, energy technology and technology, respectively. While CICP reflects on its history and the deep legacy of its work, it also has a sharp focus on the future and, in particular, a visionary project that spreads to all borders of Indiana, the Indiana GPS Project – Growth and Prosperity in the State. Governor, Mayor Hogsett announce #INthistogether campaign to flatten the curve
INDIANAPOLIS, April 1, 2020 – Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett – and a coalition of statewide business and community partners including Eli Lilly and Company – announced a social distancing campaign to help flatten the curve for COVID-19 in Indiana. The #INthistogether campaign will help Hoosiers understand the importance of social distancing, provide access to helpful tips and information and galvanize communitywide commitment to flattening the curve. When done correctly, social distancing reduces the number of hospitalizations and deaths related to the pandemic. Gov. CICP Closes Office; Employees to Work from Home
INDIANAPOLIS (March 16, 2020) - Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) does not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19, but in an abundance of caution we have decided to take additional measures to ensure our risk remains low and to respond to community calls for social distancing that can help block additional spread of the virus. CICP has closed its offices but is continuing operations, as employees work from home. When making these difficult decisions, we continue to take into consideration guidelines from the Indiana State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control, along with recommendations from the City of Indianapolis, the State of Indiana, and our stakeholders. 16 Tech partners with 1776 on Innovation Hub
National incubation network and innovation management provider 1776 has formed a partnership with 16 Tech Community Corporation to help establish a 100,000-plus square foot innovation hub in the 16 Tech Innovation District located within the Indiana Avenue Cultural District near downtown Indianapolis. The 16 Tech Innovation Hub will open in early 2021. The 16 Tech Innovation Hub, currently under construction, is an adaptive reuse of the former headquarters of the Indianapolis Water Company. The Innovation Hub will serve as the heartbeat of the 16 Tech Innovation District, where makers, innovators and entrepreneurs will have access to space, resources, programs and creative energy to incubate new ideas and scale their businesses. IIB – 16 Tech Bridge ‘More Than Physical Structure’
In a recent interview on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick, 16 Tech COO Emily Krueger provided a number of updates about the 16 Tech Innovation District. Among them, is a planned $14.5 million, 350-foot bridge that will span Fall Creek. “It really symbolizes the connectivity between people and ideas that’s at the heart of the mission of the 16 Tech Innovation District,” said Krueger, who notes the bridge will link the 50 acre district with neighborhoods, trails and assets in and around IUPUI and the Indiana University School of Medicine.
