AgriNovus Indiana adds AgTech executive, venture capitalist to its Board of Directors

AgriNovus Indiana launches Producer-Led Innovation Challenge to bring together Indiana farmers, software innovators

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 2, 2020) – AgriNovus Indiana, an initiative to fuel growth in Indiana’s agbioscience economy, launched the state’s first agtech innovation challenge today, bringing together leaders in production agriculture and technology to fuel innovation. Presented by the Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance, the Producer-Led Innovation Challenge is designed to create new solutions that solve critical gaps in farm management software defined by a panel of three progressive Indiana farmers. INDIANAPOLIS (August 20, 2020) – The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), in partnership with Conexus Indiana, announced awards totaling nearly $2 million to 20 Indiana businesses in Manufacturing Readiness Grants, which Governor Eric J. New Study: Indiana in early stages of advanced technology adoption; Budgets and roadmaps needed for widespread adoption

TechPoint S.O.S. Challenge Winner to be announced Friday

July 28, 2020 — On Friday, July 31, TechPoint, the nonprofit, industry-led growth accelerator for Indiana’s technology companies, and Governor Eric Holcomb will announce the winners of the TechPoint Summer Opportunities for Students Challenge (S.O.S.). The Challenge, provided up to 500 students from Indiana colleges and universities a five-week summer internship experience, helping them strengthen their resumes, demonstrate skills, make professional connections and develop potential solutions to a number of COVID-19-related problems. The student teams were assigned “coaches” from a pool of 200 volunteers from the Indiana tech community. Statement of Support: We, leaders from the business community throughout Indiana, endorse Governor Holcomb’s decision to mandate wearing masks in public places for all Hoosiers, effective July 27, 2020, in response to the continuing challenges of COVID-19. All organizations and people in the state have a role to play in mitigating the spread of this dangerous and disruptive disease, which shows few signs of abating. INDIANAPOLIS, June 30, 2020 – Applications for the Manufacturing Readiness Grant program, which Governor Eric J. Holcomb and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) first announced in May, are now open to Indiana manufacturers across the state. The Manufacturing Readiness Grants, administered by the IEDC in partnership with Conexus Indiana, are part of the $10 million Economic Activity Stabilization and Enhancement (EASE) program designed to stimulate manufacturing investments that will position Hoosier operations, and the sector overall, for future growth and prosperity.
