16 Tech announces Emily Krueger as next President and CEO

INDIANAPOLIS – 16 Tech Community Corporation, the nonprofit organization responsible for the programmatic and physical development of the 16 Tech Innovation District, has announced Emily Krueger as its next President and CEO. Krueger will lead the organization effective June 1, succeeding Bob Coy, who announced his retirement last year. Krueger joined 16 Tech in May 2018 as Chief Operating Officer. CICP Foundation receives grants totaling $34.6 million from Lilly Endowment Inc.

INDIANAPOLIS (March 14, 2022) – The CICP Foundation, as the supporting foundation for the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), has received five inter-related grants totaling $34.6 million from Lilly Endowment Inc. for work by CICP and four of its sector initiatives, AgriNovus Indiana, BioCrossroads, Conexus Indiana and TechPoint. CICP and its related sector initiatives are focused on the development and implementation of collaborative strategies and programs to build upon Indiana’s prosperity. Approximately one-fourth of the grant funding will be used to support CICP’s coordinated leadership across the organization’s initiative structure to deliver programs and projects that include: Accelerating and increasing innovation and the deployment of digital technologies across Indiana’s advanced industries to strengthen regional economic competitiveness. Four years ago in the book, The New Localism, Bruce Katz and Jeremy Nowak held up CICP as a leading global example of a new 21st century form of “networked governance,” bringing together a wide range of executive leadership across industry, academia and philanthropy into a structured collaboration with one another and with public leaders to advance the regional economy. 16 Tech Awards Third Cycle of Community Investment Fund Grants

INDIANAPOLIS – 16 Tech Community Corporation, the non-profit organization leading the physical and programmatic development of the 16 Tech Innovation District, announced $300,000 in grant awards to 11 resident-endorsed projects that directly benefit the vitality of nearby neighborhoods. INDIANAPOLIS (November 9, 2021) — Black and Hispanic residents in Indiana and Marion County experience significant gaps in education outcomes and employment opportunities compared to white residents, a new analysis shows. Disparities are pronounced in K-12 education and continue through postsecondary education and the workforce, hindering individuals’ ability to prosper, businesses’ ability to thrive, and the vitality of the city and state. The report, released today by Business Equity for Indy’s (BEI) Learning and Talent Opportunities Taskforce, examines public data from the U.S. Census, Indiana Management Performance Hub and other state agencies.
