TechPoint to Celebrate 25th Anniversary ‘Best of Tech’ Mira Awards at Old National Centre

INDIANAPOLIS — Celebrating its silver anniversary next year, TechPoint’s Mira Awards gala—known as the “Oscars of Tech in Indiana”—will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis. TechPoint and its sponsors and partners will take over the entire venue, including an awards show in the Murat Theatre followed by a community celebration and afterparty in the Egyptian Room. With the event attracting sold-out crowds over the past 10 years, this new location enables doubling attendance at the gala from 1,200 to 2,400 people. New art exhibit shines light on Indiana’s advanced manufacturing industry through the lens of Indiana photographer

INDIANAPOLIS – The Hoosiers and the technologies behind Indiana’s advanced manufacturing industry take center stage in a new art exhibit, featuring images captured by Indianapolis photographer Michael Durr. “The Art of Modern Manufacturing: Views through a different lens” opens on Friday, October 6 and runs through Friday, October 27. The exhibit, which is free to the public, is accompanied by an audio tour with commentary from Durr, writer Sandra Cline and Conexus Indiana Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation Ryan Henderson. Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation Grant Opens Doors for Marion County Residents to Get Paid Training and Employment with Local Manufacturing Companies

INDIANAPOLIS (March 31, 2021) Marion County has nearly 1,000 manufacturing companies providing an average starting hourly wage of $16/hour, more than 20 percent higher than Indiana’s family sustaining wage. Fairbanks Foundation has awarded Conexus Indiana a $350,000 grant to train and place residents in these opportunity jobs and to help fill the nearly 10,000 advanced manufacturing job openings in and around Marion County.
