INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 14, 2023) – Molly Dodge, senior vice president of Workforce and Careers at Ivy Tech Community College, and Scott Whitlock, founder and president/CEO at Flexware Innovation, have joined the board of Conexus Indiana, a statewide organization dedicated to strengthening Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics industries.

“Molly and Scott add to our board’s expertise in equipping Indiana for the Industry 4.0 marketplace and workforce,” said Conexus Indiana President and CEO Fred Cartwright. “As Indiana manufacturers continue to embrace smart manufacturing technologies, it is imperative that our board members reflect the entrepreneurial and future-focused nature of our work, and Molly and Scott definitely come to the table with that mindset.”

In her role with the state’s largest public postsecondary institution, Molly Dodge works with campus leaders to ensure the college is successfully supplying Indiana’s workforce pipeline. Having joined Ivy Tech in 2017 as chancellor of the college’s Madison campus, Dodge previously served as director of Adult Education and Clearinghouse director for River Valley Resources, a Madison, Ind., nonprofit working to help low-income and disadvantaged Hoosiers obtain and maintain gainful employment. She was integral in Ivy Tech’s recent launch of a new Associate degree of Applied Science in Smart Manufacturing and Digital Integration.

Scott Whitlock founded Flexware Innovation in 1996 to provide technology integration services to the manufacturing sector. Since then, he has led the company’s growth to more than 150 employees, now offering a wide range of complex enterprise solution services to manufacturers globally. The firm was acquired in September of 2022 by Hitachi, which has said it will use the firm as a model for systems integration business throughout North America. Prior to starting Flexware, Whitlock was a senior electrical engineer at Indiana Automation Inc., and also worked as a software sales engineer at Advanced Interface Solutions.
