TechPoint, through the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, was awarded $50,000 in prize money for equitable access to entrepreneurship INDIANAPOLIS –The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced TechPoint, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership’s (CICP) branded growth initiative for the state’s digital innovation economy, as a Stage One winner for the 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC). TechPoint, through CICP, will receive a $50,000 cash prize for its impactful and inclusive approach to nurturing a collaborative national innovation ecosystem to advance small business research and development (R&D) from ideas to market. In the first quarter of 2024, the national venture capital (VC) landscape presented a mixed picture, with investment levels at a five-year low based on PitchBook data, despite a slight uptick in valuations and exit activity compared to last quarter. In contrast, Indiana emerged as a bright spot, displaying growth in VC activities across various metrics at the highest level since at least 2015. INDIANAPOLIS — Celebrating its silver anniversary next year, TechPoint’s Mira Awards gala—known as the “Oscars of Tech in Indiana”—will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis. TechPoint and its sponsors and partners will take over the entire venue, including an awards show in the Murat Theatre followed by a community celebration and afterparty in the Egyptian Room.
