Governor, Mayor Hogsett announce #INthistogether campaign to flatten the curve

INDIANAPOLIS, April 1, 2020 – Governor Eric J. Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett – and a coalition of statewide business and community partners including Eli Lilly and Company – announced a social distancing campaign to help flatten the curve for COVID-19 in Indiana. The #INthistogether campaign will help Hoosiers understand the importance of social distancing, provide access to helpful tips and information and galvanize communitywide commitment to flattening the curve. 16 Tech partners with 1776 on Innovation Hub

National incubation network and innovation management provider 1776 has formed a partnership with 16 Tech Community Corporation to help establish a 100,000-plus square foot innovation hub in the 16 Tech Innovation District located within the Indiana Avenue Cultural District near downtown Indianapolis. IIB – 16 Tech Bridge ‘More Than Physical Structure’

16 Tech launches signature bridge project to connect innovation

INDIANAPOLIS - 16 Tech Community Corporation is inviting teams from across the nation and around the world to submit qualifications to design a new bridge that will become a signature structure for the 16 Tech Innovation District near downtown Indianapolis. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) & Proposals (RFP) released today seeks submissions from teams for a bridge that will span Fall Creek from 10th Street and Riley Hospital Drive into the 16 Tech Innovation District as well as schematic designs for entrances and wayfinding within the 50-acre development. The 16 Tech Innovation District, located on the northwest edge of downtown Indianapolis, is being developed to build collaboration among innovators and entrepreneurs in life science, technology, advanced manufacturing and engineering in an urban live-work-play-learn environment. IIB: Tech Sector Rolls Out Red Carpet for Talent

Earlier this year, TechPoint, the tech initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, partnered with TMAP LLC to launch the "Wish You Were Here" campaign in an effort to bring former Hoosiers currently working out of state back to Indiana. TechPoint President and CEO Mike Langellier said they had hoped to attract 100-150 applicants but ended up with nearly 400 from across the country. Nearly 30 applicants were chosen to come to Indianapolis for a weekend in early October to learn about the tech community, which also included a red carpet experience.
