Conexus Indiana releases State of Logistics report; data fortify Indiana’s ‘Crossroads of America’ leadership position

INDIANAPOLIS (March 3, 2021) Conexus Indiana today released a comprehensive report of Indiana’s logistics industry, providing a deep assessment of the state’s geographic, public policy, innovation and regional assets that make Indiana a global logistics leader. Conexus, Ivy Tech launch first commercial truck driving curriculum; benefits include student loan eligibility, credits toward a logistics degree and internships

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 5, 2020) Conexus Indiana and Ivy Tech Community College launched today the nation’s first training program for commercial truck drivers that is covered by federal student loans and enhances a graduate’s employability in the increasingly growing trucking industry. The CDL+ curriculum will be offered beginning January 2021 at five Ivy Tech campuses and is currently enrolling students. An additional eight Ivy Tech locations will offer the course later this year. Developed by Conexus Indiana in partnership with the Indiana Motor Truck Association (IMTA), Venture Logistics and Ivy Tech, and with an initial grant from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD), the CDL+ program elevates the quality of training for new commercial truck drivers while eliminating the historic financial barriers to entry. New Study: Indiana in early stages of advanced technology adoption; Budgets and roadmaps needed for widespread adoption

INDIANAPOLIS, June 30, 2020 – Applications for the Manufacturing Readiness Grant program, which Governor Eric J. Holcomb and the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) first announced in May, are now open to Indiana manufacturers across the state. Conexus Indiana partners with IN-MaC and 180 Skills to offer online manufacturing and logistics courses to high school students

INDIANAPOLIS (April 21, 2020) Conexus Indiana today announced it is partnering with 180 Skills, an online provider of manufacturing, logistics and employability skills training, to offer 1,500 Indiana high school students access to 180 Skills’ online library as they continue their learning at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Purdue University’s IN-MaC (Indiana Next Generation Manufacturing Competitiveness Center) is also a partner in the effort and is sharing the resource with additional audiences throughout the state. The partnership will allow students and educators access to the complete 180 Skills library, developed with manufacturers and educators, and including 700 courses focused on aerospace, automotive and commercial manufacturing.
