TechPoint, the growth initiative for Indiana’s tech sector, has released a progress report on its Mission 41K initiative aimed at growing the tech sector by 41,000 jobs by 2030. The initiative, which launched in September 2022, has shown progress as Indiana has grown its tech workforce by 5.6 percent, which is double the national tech workforce rate last year.
According to TechPoint, since it launched the initiative more than 100 individuals and organizations have taken the Mission41K pledge. The report shows that 92 percent of all jobs in Indiana require some level of tech skill. Tech employment in Indiana stands at 118,872 jobs at nearly 9,300 tech companies. TechPoint’s report shows that those companies posted more than 55,000 open positions last year.
