Nominations open today for TechPoint’s 25th annual Mira AwardsTickets are on sale now; capacity has doubled with the April 26, 2024, event now at the Old National Centre

 INDIANAPOLIS — TechPoint today opened nominations for its highly anticipated 25th-anniversary Mira Awards honoring the “Best of Tech” in Indiana. Named after the brightest star that can be seen from Earth, the Mira Awards gala recognizes excellence and innovation in 18 different award categories.

Since 1999, the Mira Awards have been pivotal in promoting and celebrating the state’s top technology innovators, disruptors, business leaders and game-changers. They are a testament to the incredible technological achievements coming out of multiple industries, as well as the spirit of innovation that characterizes the digital innovation landscape in Indiana.

TechPoint announced a new location and format for the awards last month, which includes doubling the number of people who will be able to attend the gala to 2,400.

“We’ve broadened just about everything in our approach to the Mira Awards because tech is essential to driving growth across all business sectors in Indiana and we want to open this event to more people. ,” said TechPoint President and CEO Ting Gootee. “Collaboration with organizations like AgriNovus Indiana and Conexus Indiana is a top priority for our continued community-building effort as we believe it will help us draw nominations and participation from all corners of the state.”

Nominations from across all industries throughout the state are welcome, including technology, life sciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, agbioscience and academia.

The award categories reflect TechPoint’s dual focus on talent pathways into tech careers and the digital innovation that continues to drive disruptive change on a global scale. The following are the 2024 Mira Award categories:

The 2024 Mira Awards gala—known as the “Oscars of Tech in Indiana”—will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Old National Centre in Indianapolis. TechPoint and its sponsors and partners will take over the entire venue with the awards show in the Murat Theatre and a community celebration and afterparty in the Egyptian Room. About the Mira Award process:  More than 50 independent and diverse subject matter experts evaluate and rank the award entries to determine the nominees, which will be announced on February 14, 2024. Next, nominees deliver presentations and answer questions in front of a panel of judges on March 6, 2024. Following the interviews, the judges deliberate and select the winners.
