INDIANAPOLIS — (March 14, 2023) — Equipped with a $300,000 grant from the Indianapolis African American Quality of Life Initiative (IAAQLI), TechPoint, InnoPower and Sagamore Institute are seeking central Indiana companies to offer tech-related adult apprenticeship opportunities to low-income, central Indiana Black men and women. “We are thrilled to have received this support, but now we need companies to step up and take advantage of a game-changing opportunity for everyone involved,” said TechPoint Senior Vice President, Talent, Strategy, and Partnerships Dennis Trinkle. “We see adult apprenticeship as the most effective way to deploy these funds toward lifelong, meaningful careers. TechPoint releases 2022 Indiana Tech Venture Report

Digital innovation was alive and well in Indiana last year despite all the markings of a potential inflection point amid inflation, rising interest rates, fewer public listings, global supply chain strains, labor shortage, increasing geopolitical tensions, and the most complicated macroeconomic trends of the last few decades. Public filings and independent analysis showed 132 Hoosier tech companies reported $441 million in capital investment last year, the state’s second-highest amount of capital investment in tech companies since TechPoint began collecting publicly reported investment data.
