INDIANAPOLIS (April 20, 2022) Conexus Indiana joined The Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship today for a ribbon-cutting event, celebrating the opening of the Manufacturing Skills Lab at the Frankfort Crossing campus in Frankfort, Ind. The center will use curriculum and equipment provided by Catapult Indiana, Conexus Indiana’s proven career training program that creates pathways to employment and career growth with local manufacturers. Catapult Indiana is a 160-hour training program that teaches broadly applicable advanced manufacturing skills to unemployed and underemployed adults and high school students through classroom instruction and simulated work experiences. (INDIANAPOLIS) - The Governor’s Workforce Cabinet and Conexus Indiana today announced a new $500,000 grant program to support Indiana high schools as they prepare students for careers in the increasingly high-tech advanced manufacturing industry. Modeled after the statewide Manufacturing Readiness Grants program, Education Readiness Grants are available for qualifying secondary schools that purchase new, smart manufacturing technologies and equipment to develop skills students need to succeed in an Industry 4.0 economy. The Education Readiness Grants program is a direct response to the success of the Manufacturing Readiness Grants program, launched in mid-2020 and administered by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) in partnership with Conexus Indiana. INDIANAPOLIS (March 3, 2022) Conexus Indiana and the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Center for Excellence in Manufacturing today launched its annual survey seeking input from Indiana advanced manufacturing and logistics companies about their technology adoption journey. New study: Tech adoption among Indiana advanced manufacturers more than doubles from 2020 to 2021

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 9, 2021) A new Conexus Indiana study shows that more than 40 percent of Indiana advanced manufacturers surveyed have successfully implemented or piloted an Industry 4.0 technology, more than double the figure from a similar study in 2020. Study results also confirmed the impact of the Indiana Manufacturing Readiness Grants program with 94 percent reporting that the grant enabled, accelerated or expanded their tech adoption project. Student teams from Indiana University, Purdue University and Purdue Polytechnic Anderson win Conexus Indiana National Collegiate Case Competition

INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 9, 2021) Students from Indiana University, Purdue University and Purdue Polytechnic Institute (Anderson) were named winners in the sixth annual Conexus Indiana National Collegiate Case Competition. The case competition fielded 24 teams and challenged the students to solve one of two advanced manufacturing and logistics business cases with first- second- and third-place winners named in three different tracks. The three first-place teams each won $5,000, with second- and third-place teams each taking home $2,000 and $1,000, respectively. Make & Move Up brings training and careers to northeast side of Indianapolis, builds local workforce

The Make & Move Up program will provide residents with paid training in advanced manufacturing and logistics (AML), preparing up to 50 residents with the skills to succeed in their careers. The training program, called Catapult Indiana, is possible through a $200,000 philanthropic investment from JPMorgan Chase, and it aligns with the community collaboration between Goodwill, Cook Medical and the United Northeast Community Development Corporation. Fred Cartwright, long-time auto industry executive and hybrid technology pioneer, named Conexus Indiana President and CEO

INDIANAPOLIS (July 12, 2021) – Fred Cartwright, former General Motors executive and past executive director of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), has been named president and CEO of Conexus Indiana, a statewide organization dedicated to strengthening Indiana's advanced manufacturing and logistics industries. Cartwright succeeds retiring president and CEO J. Mark Howell, who has led Conexus since late 2017. Cartwright has spent his career in manufacturing innovation leadership positions, with an emphasis on automotive technology commercialization, business development, public/private partnerships and leading-edge research park development.
