Butler University, gener8tor, and TechPoint launch Education and Workforce Innovation accelerator

INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 17, 2023) – Five startup companies will receive $100,000 each thanks to a new accelerator program focused on transforming education and workforce learning, especially with advanced technology. The funding will be provided through a new partnership between Butler University, gener8tor (a global venture firm that operates accelerator programs), and TechPoint. Through the partnership, named the “Butler Accelerator for Education and Workforce Innovation powered by gener8tor,” Butler, TechPoint and gener8tor will equip the startups with funding, work space, mentorship, access to capital, networking and related support for early-stage small businesses and startups from across the United States and Canada. INDIANAPOLIS — Celebrating its silver anniversary next year, TechPoint’s Mira Awards gala—known as the “Oscars of Tech in Indiana”—will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Old National Centre in Indianapolis. TechPoint and its sponsors and partners will take over the entire venue, including an awards show in the Murat Theatre followed by a community celebration and afterparty in the Egyptian Room. New art exhibit shines light on Indiana’s advanced manufacturing industry through the lens of Indiana photographer

INDIANAPOLIS – The Hoosiers and the technologies behind Indiana’s advanced manufacturing industry take center stage in a new art exhibit, featuring images captured by Indianapolis photographer Michael Durr. “The Art of Modern Manufacturing: Views through a different lens” opens on Friday, October 6 and runs through Friday, October 27. The exhibit, which is free to the public, is accompanied by an audio tour with commentary from Durr, writer Sandra Cline and Conexus Indiana Director of Innovation and Digital Transformation Ryan Henderson. Durr, in partnership with Conexus Indiana, traveled statewide to capture nearly 80,000 images to document how Indiana manufacturers and Hoosier workers are using smart manufacturing technologies – such as cobots, additive manufacturing and advanced robotics – to increase productivity and competitiveness. AgriNovus Indiana-commissioned study identifies opportunity to unite state's strengths in agbioscience, tech INDIANAPOLIS — AgriNovus Indiana, an initiative to grow the state’s agbioscience economy, released new research today showing Indiana as an emerging hub for agtech innovation due to its strengths in agriculture and technology.
