Ascend Indiana and Ivy Tech Community College develop new career and employer-related support infrastructure; Program receives Lilly Endowment funding

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 3, 2020) - Lilly Endowment has made an $8 million grant to the Ivy Tech Foundation to support Ivy Tech Community College’s new statewide Career Coaching and Employer Connection (CCEC) program. This new, more strategic approach will emphasize comprehensive career readiness practices working alongside academic preparation throughout a student’s college experience. Independent Colleges of Indiana and Ascend Indiana form strategic alliance to prepare Indiana college students and employers for the state’s changing workforce demands

INDIANAPOLIS (July 17, 2019) ─ Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI), the state’s association of 30 private non-profit colleges and universities, and Ascend Indiana are announcing the formation of a strategic alliance that will enhance connections between students and employers in order to meet the changing demands in the Indiana labor market. Ascend Indiana, the talent and workforce development initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), will work with ICI member institutions to guide students through their internship and job search process, while helping them understand how their skills align with the opportunities available at employers across the state. Ascend Indiana receives McNulty Prize Catalyst Fund global award for bridging Indiana’s talent gap

New York, NY, June 11, 2019 ––The McNulty Foundation announced the 2019 recipients of the McNulty Prize Catalyst Fund, which supports organizations at critical junctures across the world in tackling the challenges of our time. New program will increase the number of licensed clinical social workers to meet the growing need for treatment as Indiana’s opioid epidemic persists

INDIANAPOLIS (February 13, 2019) ─ As the Indiana opioid crisis continues, there is a shortage of trained behavioral health professionals to ensure those suffering from substance use disorders (SUD) receive treatment. To help address this gap, Community Health Network is launching a program that will prepare more licensed clinical social workers to provide treatment in central Indiana, while also improving the quality of the training they receive to better serve patients. The program provides a model that can be replicated in communities across the state.
