Events Support Governor Braun’s IN AI Statewide Initiative, Bring Together Business, Education, Nonprofit and Community Leaders to Explore Practical AI Adoption
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 9, 2026) –The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and CEOs of Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) are partnering to host a statewide series of AI roadshows designed to help Indiana employers understand, evaluate and adopt artificial intelligence technologies that can improve productivity, strengthen competitiveness and prepare for the future of work.
The AI Roadshow Series is part of IN AI, a statewide initiative recently launched by Governor Mike Braun with the support of CICP to accelerate Indiana’s readiness for the AI-driven economy. Braun’s person-centered initiative focuses on empowering businesses, organizations and individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to successfully adopt AI.
The Indiana Chamber will be involved throughout the statewide series by helping extend the conversation to employers and communities across Indiana, contributing business-focused perspective and connecting participants with practical resources tied to AI adoption, workforce readiness and long-term competitiveness.
The first in-person AI Roadshow will take place July 21 in Indianapolis, with support from TechPoint, Ascend Indiana, OneZone Chamber, Launch Fishers, Indy Chamber and other partners. The event will feature practical examples of AI adoption, lessons learned from organizations already implementing AI and resources available to help participants begin or accelerate their own AI journeys.
“Artificial intelligence is already redefining how companies operate and develop talent effectively,” remarks Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “Through our Indiana Prosperity 2035 plan, the Chamber has been clear that Indiana’s long-term competitiveness depends on embracing innovation, growing a skilled workforce and helping employers of all sizes adapt to a rapidly changing economy. The Chamber’s role in the AI Roadshow Series is to help make that conversation practical for employers – especially small and mid-size organizations – by connecting them with information, examples and trusted partners that can support smart, responsible AI adoption.”
“IN AI brings together the work already happening across Indiana into a shared strategy focused on strengthening companies and supporting their teams,” says Melina Kennedy, CEO of CICP. “Through our roadshows and online resources, we are giving business leaders a single starting point to explore AI use cases, understand the impact and decide where these tools can create value in their organizations.”
Unlike many AI conferences focused primarily on technology, the AI Roadshow Series is designed for organizations at early stages of AI adoption. Sessions focus on real-world applications, workforce implications, implementation strategies and resources available through Indiana’s growing AI ecosystem. For the Indiana Chamber, the series also builds on related efforts to elevate AI as a business competitiveness issue, including Foundation research (led by last year’s “Seizing the Economic Power of Artificial Intelligence” report), employer education and policy discussions connected to innovation, productivity and workforce transformation.
The Indianapolis event is expected to attract leaders from business, education, government, nonprofits and community organizations that are interested in understanding how AI can support their missions, operations and long-term growth.
Additional AI Roadshow events are being planned throughout Indiana, bringing practical AI education and resources directly to local communities.
Sinders shares the Indiana Chamber plans to support those events through member communications, regional employer engagement and collaboration with local chambers and partner organizations to help broaden participation and ensure the business community’s needs and questions are reflected in the statewide conversation.
