A recent article in The Weekly Standard takes a look at a new book The New Localism: How Cities Thrive in the Age of Populism, which features the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) and the city of Indianapolis as a model for public, private and civic collaboration.

The article says some, including The New Localism authors Bruce Katz and Jeremy Nowak, believe that real power and progress can only be achieved through autonomous localities, as local governments working in tandem with private philanthropists and powerful CEOs draw their communities into the increasingly globalized economy.
