IBJ: Indiana’s battery industry, undeterred by past setbacks, sees bright futureNovember 13, 2017
In a recent article in the Indianapolis Business Journal (IBJ) a number of business leaders believe Indiana could become the technology hub for lithium-ion cell manufacturing in North America, and also system assembly and deployment.
“I would say it was a function of competition and consolidation globally that hit some of the companies that had a long history in Indiana,” said Paul Mitchell, president of Energy Systems Network, an initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) that focuses on energy and clean technology.
“It’s a very competitive market and they didn’t make it. That being said, there are activities going on today that are very promising, and I’m optimistic we can get back to a leadership position.” [READ MORE]
