Consumer Reports: BlueIndy carsharing expands clean transit options in Indianapolis

BlueIndy CarThe largest electric vehicle car sharing service in the nation is getting recognized by Consumer Reports. The magazine is reporting that in less than a year, 2,100 Indy residents have subscribed to the BlueIndy service, which it says is saving the city and residents as much as 500,000 gallons of gasoline a year.

As of the summer of 2016, the electric fleet has 272 cars and 75 pick-up and drop off sites. CICP energy technology initiative Energy Systems Network was instrumental in bringing BlueIndy to Indianapolis. [READ MORE]
