The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership names Connie Bond Stuart chair of its Board of DirectorsOctober 28, 2019
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 28, 2019 – The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) has named Connie Bond Stuart, PNC regional president of Central and Southern Indiana, as the new chair of its board of directors. Since 2011, Bond Stuart has been a member of the CICP board of directors, and more recently, served as a member of CICP’s executive committee and the organization’s treasurer.
“We are excited to welcome Connie to this new role and are grateful for the strong commitment and experienced, collegial leadership she brings in leading our Board,” said David L. Johnson, president and CEO, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership.
Bond Stuart succeeds Jack Phillips, former president and CEO of Roche Diagnostics, who served as chair of the CICP board since 2018. Phillips recently moved to a new role outside of Roche.
“It is an honor for me to serve as chair of an organization that brings together a dynamic group of motivated leaders,” said Bond Stuart. “The game-changing work of CICP and its initiatives fuel new, innovative opportunities, which advance our industries, bolster our workforce and spark collaborative new enterprises for our region and state.”
“It’s an exciting time for us – we are working on a multi-dimensional study of Indiana’s economy; moving to 16 Tech Innovation District in 2020; and continuing to collaborate with civic, state and industry leaders on transformative projects across our organization and region. Connie is the ideal board chair to advance and assure success in all of our ambitious efforts,” adds Johnson.
Bond Stuart has served in her current role at PNC since 2011.
Her career in financial services began in 1980 as a PNC corporate banking relationship manager, working with large public and private companies. In 1987, she established the Washington, D.C. office of PNC Real Estate Finance, where she developed full-service banking relationships with regional real estate developers. She held that post for 15 years, advancing to senior vice president. In 2002, she was named regional president for the Delaware market, where she worked to distinguish PNC in the marketplace through client-focused growth and exceptional service.
She is the past chair and current executive committee member of the board of the United Way of Central Indiana. She is immediate past chair, current member of the executive committee and the board of the Indy Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she serves on the board of trustees for the Indianapolis Zoo and the board of directors for Ascend Indiana, the talent and workforce initiative of CICP. In 2013, she was named Indianapolis Business Journal Women of Influence honoree; and in 2015, received the Castaldi Award from the Indiana Association of United Ways.
