INDIANAPOLIS (May 12, 2020) – The Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) has released three return-to-work playbooks for the manufacturing, logistics and warehousing, office, and customer-facing settings. These practical and comprehensive guides were produced by CICP, in partnership with Cummins Inc. CEO Tom Linebarger and members of Cummins’ global team, working together with other regional business leaders.

The three playbooks are:

The three guides were released to share emerging best practices for Indiana companies and others around the world to develop plans for reopening the workplace—whether the shop or warehouse floor, the office, or the service center–in this unprecedented time of COVID-19. Each playbook offers recommendations and best practices from public health experts and organizations, as well as other officials and company leaders.

All three include a section on key decisions to consider prior to restarting a workplace, including the four key principles employers should consider as they seek to re-open their operations following the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order and temporary closures.

Leaders from several of CICP’s branded initiatives — particularly Mark Howell, from Conexus Indiana, and Paul Mitchell, from Energy Systems Network—made substantial contributions to this effort.

“There is really nothing like these workplace playbooks anywhere else in the nation right now, and we’re proud to release them from CICP.  They represent  a highly collaborative effort drawing on some of the best thinking from our state’s global companies at a time of enormous challenge and concern, as business leaders seek to reopen and maintain a safe and productive workplace, in a variety of settings,” said David L. Johnson, president and CEO, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership. “Our highest priority continues to be the health, safety, and well-being of all Hoosiers across the state. We all appreciate Cummins’ pragmatic leadership here, and the widespread support we are seeing for achieving this common goal through such hands-on helpful recommendations.”

All three playbooks are available on the CICP website.
