Google to Offer AI Readiness Workshops for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Statewide

INDIANAPOLIS (May 14, 2026) – The CEOs of Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) today announced an alliance with Google to support the IN AI initiative, aimed at making Indiana the most AI-ready state in the nation. Google will activate a series of AI workshops to help small, medium-sized businesses, and start-ups across Indiana adopt and implement artificial intelligence into their operations.

“This collaboration with Google and our educational partners is an exciting step forward in empowering businesses across Indiana to embrace AI technology,” said Melina Kennedy, CEO of CICP. “With the IN AI initiative, we’re ensuring that businesses throughout the state have the resources and support they need to thrive in an AI-powered economy, while also reaching the State’s goal of equipping 1 million Hoosiers with the skills needed for the future.”

Working with Ivy Tech Community College and TechPoint, Google will offer “Make AI Work for You” workshops for businesses that need the foundational tools and knowledge needed to integrate AI into their processes. These workshops, alongside additional resources, will focus on areas such as predictive maintenance, smart automation, and other practical AI applications.

“Through the IN AI initiative, Ivy Tech Community College is helping employers turn interest into action by building the talent and skills needed to apply AI in real-world settings,” said Marty Pollio, President of Ivy Tech Community College. “With a statewide footprint and deep employer partnerships, Ivy Tech is uniquely positioned to accelerate adoption in ways that strengthen businesses, expand opportunity, and support long-term economic growth for Hoosiers.”

To ensure long-term success, the initiative will include a Train-the-Trainer model, certifying local trainers who will provide ongoing support for AI readiness, ensuring that businesses across every region of Indiana can continue to grow and adapt.

Google plans to reach approximately 10,000 Hoosier businesses through its efforts to support the IN AI initiative.

“At Google, we’re committed to ensuring businesses and communities across Indiana can embrace the future of AI,” said Allyson Eastman, Data Center Community and Workforce Development Manager for Google. “Together with CICP and our educational partners, we are building a foundation that will empower businesses, foster innovation, and contribute to Indiana’s economic growth.”

This collaboration with Google is part of CICP’s broader strategy to harness the reach of global industry leaders to ensure Hoosier employers — from main street to large businesses across the state — have access to the tools they need to increase productivity and drive wage growth.

“As TechPoint drives the Indiana tech ecosystem and AI continues to shape the way business is done not just for the tech industry but all companies, we are committed to IN AI’s work in making Indiana the most AI-ready state in the nation,” said Eric Christopher, President & CEO of TechPoint. “Through TechPoint’s partnership with Google, we are excited to take a community-centric approach to help connect businesses to the resources they need to innovate and upskill using AI.”
