Indiana’s R&D and STEM worker-intensive advanced industries—along with an array of complementary traded industries—are critical drivers of Indiana’s economy, providing well-paying careers for Hoosiers. This is particularly true for Indiana’s key advanced industry clusters: agbiosciences, advanced manufacturing and logistics, life sciences, and technology.
Our Advanced Industry Dashboard highlights the impact of these critical industries through key datapoints. Launched in 2025, this dashboard will be updated with data aggregated and analyzed by the Indiana Business Research Center at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
In addition to tracking specific industry clusters in the Advanced Industry Dashboard, CICP also tracks 10 key indicators that help our stakeholders assess whether the state’s economy is trending in a positive direction—and how we’re doing relative to the nation.
